We are a group of women (but men are welcome!) who have an interest in textile art and embroidery. We are of mixed abilities and there is no need for you to be able to sew to come and join us - there are no tests!
New members are always welcome - why not call in and join us as a guest for a few months?
Meeting fee for visitors is only £5.
Our meetings vary - we have talks and workshops, show and tell - we also have lots of weekend workshops and playdays. For details of what's coming up (and what's been and gone!) check out our programme below...

January Play Day - "Angie Lewin"

Taking inspiration from the lovely work of Angie Lewin, members spent the day working on backgrounds for stitch based on natural forms - seed heads, grasses and foliage.

Here is some of their work, ready to be taken home and developed!

  1. Happy New Year ... I love the work of Angie Lewin and have made blinds for my kitchen from one of the fabrics designed by her -'Dandelion' I think. What a great idea for a workshop. Have you seen the pieces by Angie Hughes on a similar theme?

  2. Hi Hazel, nice to hear from you. Yes, this theme seems to be all the rage at the moment doesn't it! Very attractive though and really lends itself to textile work. I see that you are as prolific as ever!
