We are a group of women (but men are welcome!) who have an interest in textile art and embroidery. We are of mixed abilities and there is no need for you to be able to sew to come and join us - there are no tests!
New members are always welcome - why not call in and join us as a guest for a few months?
Meeting fee for visitors is only £5.
Our meetings vary - we have talks and workshops, show and tell - we also have lots of weekend workshops and playdays. For details of what's coming up (and what's been and gone!) check out our programme below...

December Meeting - Mini Masterpieces

We met on the first Friday in December for our usual Christmas meeting - Quiz, delicious Faith Supper and gift exchange - this time with a difference. A few months previously we had been given a plain white matchbox each by our chairman Wyn, with instructions to bring it to the Christmas meeting decorated and filled to exchange anonymously with another member.
Here are the fantastic results!

And here they all are in fabulous close-up...

As if that weren't enough excitement for one evening we also had some small polystyene wreaths which we could decorate in our preferred style. We didn't all have the time or energy to complete them but here are the finished / almost finished items on the night - all completely different, and completely brilliant!

And again in glorious close-up

(I have to confess that the robin on his nest is my sneaky favourite!)

And last, but not least, some of our members remembered to bring along their luggage labels, our ongoing Branch challenge for 2013 -14 - for full details of this, see our Facebook page where Wyn has explained it all...

Haven't we been a busy bunch!

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a New Year filled with everything you hope for.

Late addition -
Sue gave her wreath to her 17 yr-old niece to decorate at home, this is her festive design :
